A fine day, with the course in first class condition, was a fitting welcome for the 20 or so Senior Members who turned up for a great days golf. Work on the greens is proceeding, and they should be back to normal in another two weeks time. Things appear to be moving regarding The Priory Restaurant, and something definite should be available in another two weeks time. Fingers crossed.

CENTRAL DATABASE OF HANDICAPS (CDH)
IDENTIFICATION (ID) NUMBER Lakeside Golf Club has recently uploaded all member handicap information onto the Golf Union of Wales (GUW) Central Database of Handicaps (CDH). On completion of this task members were automatically allocated a ‘10’ digit CDH Life-time ID unique handicap reference number. What is my CDH Life-time ID Number? The CDH ID Life-time number has been developed to assist golf clubs to maintain member’s handicaps. It enables verification of your handicap when entering competitions; therefore you will no longer need to obtain your Handicap Secretary’s signature to enter GUW competitions and various other events (just provide your CDH ID Number). In addition, it allows golf clubs to verify handicaps of visiting golfers in Open Competitions without the need for producing your handicap certificate on the day (although it is still advised to take a copy just in case!). Your CDH ID Life-time number can be obtained from your Handicap Secretary - Nick Walters, he will be able to inform you what your CDH ID number is. Your CDH ID also provides proof of Club Membership when visiting other courses. |
